May Wong and Tammy Phang opened Silver Star Salon more than 30 years ago. The relationships built with clients and families are still at the center of the salon today.
May Wong
Co-owner and hairstylist known for thoughtful haircut planning, women's cuts, bobs, men's haircuts, and continued professional education.
Tammy Phang
Co-owner and hairstylist who has helped build a welcoming, relationship-driven salon on Florin Road.

May has continued investing in advanced haircut education throughout her career. Her training includes premium, hands-on classes with Misaki of Juan Juan Salon in Beverly Hills — a Japanese celebrity hairstylist known for developing his own cutting techniques and working with celebrity clients. May chose to attend these high-level classes to keep refining the precision, shape, balance, movement, and finishing techniques she brings back to Silver Star Salon clients in Sacramento.
