Do you provide perms for both men and women?
Yes. Silver Star Salon provides customized perm services for men and women. The recommendation is based on hair length, density, condition, current shape, and the amount of curl or movement you want.
Can short hair be permed?
Yes, when there is enough length to wrap safely and create the requested result. A partial or top perm may be appropriate when the goal is texture and movement through selected areas.
What is the difference between a partial perm and a full head perm?
A partial or top perm treats selected sections of the hair. A full head perm creates texture throughout. Your stylist will recommend the approach that fits your haircut, length, and desired shape.
Can highlighted or color treated hair be permed?
It depends on the condition and chemical history of the hair. An in person assessment is needed before deciding whether another chemical service is appropriate.
Can a haircut be combined with a perm?
A haircut may be added when the shape or length should be adjusted before or after the texture service. Your stylist will discuss the plan with you first.
